Minister of Youth Job Description:
Position Summary: Responsible for proclaiming the Gospel and independently planning, coordinating and administering a

Christ-centered ministry as it relates to the lives of youth (grades 7 – college) and their families.
Personal Characteristics: Gives evidence of a call by God to youth ministry, possess spiritual maturity, sound biblical beliefs,

genuine Christian morality, spirituality, and godliness in appearance and manner.
Education:
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or seminary preferred
3. A significant amount of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
1. Minimum two years experience in youth related ministries.
Principal Functions:
1. Is an active member of the ministry team, supporting and receiving support from other ministers in all ministries.
2. Proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ through love, patience, skill, and fellowship to lead young people to accept

Jesus Christ as Savior and to develop these young people into Christian disciples.
3. Provides input in the planning and execution of meaningful, corporate worship experiences.
4. Serves on Church Council.
5. Plans, coordinates, and promotes a well-balance youth ministry to include, but not be limited to Bible study,

discipleship, missions, spiritual and social growth.
6. Recruit, trains, and encourages the laity to accept leadership roles in the youth ministry.
7. Make budget recommendations for all youth programs and operate within the Church approved budget.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
